CannyWare respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have. It is written to reflect how this service actually works, and it is not legal advice.
CannyWare (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for this website and for the accounts we manage.

We do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build visitor profiles. The site sets only the cookies it needs to function and to remember your language — see our cookie notice for the full list. Our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, timestamp and the page requested) for a limited time, to keep the service running and secure.
When you log in to use the dashboard we process:
We process this telemetry on behalf of, and on the instructions of, the customer whose machines produce it; for that data the customer is the controller and CannyWare acts as processor. We process account data as controller to operate your account.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of processors strictly to run the service (for example infrastructure and hosting), under data-processing agreements. Customer telemetry stays within each customer's own tenant and is not shared with other customers.
Your data is stored on infrastructure located in the Netherlands. We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.
We keep account data for as long as the account exists, and afterwards only as long as we must for legal or administrative reasons. We keep customer telemetry in line with the agreement with that customer.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption of traffic in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls that separate each customer's data. We continue to strengthen these measures as the service grows.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to receive it in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise a right, email privacy@cannyware.net. If your request concerns telemetry from a machine operated by a customer, we will direct you to that customer (the controller). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed.
